Sunshine On Your Face After A Rainy Day

Sunshine On Your Face After A Rainy Day

Beautiful lady steadfast and strong

flew up to heaven on the wings of an eagle flight;

dances over her children to keep them safe at night.

She’s one with the wind and sky.

She walks with Jesus and she smiles,

“in heaven there’s no more tears,

no more pain and no more fear.

Beautiful bright neon colors

green, pink, and blue are everywhere.”

And like the breaking dawn that perfect girl is gone,

the past is in the past; let it go, let it go.

Look past the clouds and stars you will see amazing grace; sunshine on your face after a rainy day.

Scripture: Ps. 30:5 - “Weeping may last for the night, but joy comes in the morning.”

In Loving Memory of Andrea Ethridge

Andrea means – beautiful lady, steadfast and strong

alone

Alone

When she went home,

I was all alone.

Sometimes I cry,

“I want to go, so I won’t be alone.”

Sometimes I yell,

“I thought I would go first,

I am alone in this big empty home!”

Sometimes I try to stay busy,

So I won’t feel alone.

When I think of her,

I can hear you say,

(“Nothing can separate you from my love.”)

After the tears, I can hear

A voice from inside,

(“I am your refuge and strength I won’t leave you.”)

When I stop yelling,

My thoughts stay still,

(The Comforter is what I feel.)

And when I am not busy everything is quiet,

I hear the knock on my hearts door;

(“Oh, let me come in, I am your friend.”)

“If you hear my voice, open the door and I will come in.” Revelations 3:20

I wrote this for my friend Mike Ryder.

In loving memory of his wife Ryder.

closure

Closure
If only they knew
Sometimes when the noise shut off
I think about you
If only they knew
Yesterday is like tomorrow
It becomes new
If they only knew
I always love you so very much
And I long for your touch
If they knew
I cry sometime at night
Because you are not
Here and it seems like no one cares
Then I hear the song that fills my soul
Sun on my face the warm embrace
As I race down the snowy mountain top
Thank you my dear heavenly Father
You are the one who
Loves and cares and leads me to
Closure
So I can cope by your
Grace peace and hope
Closure is not letting go or to move on
It is that special moment when you know
That someone cares
And then you begin to grow

last breath

LAST BREATH

Sometimes I wonder what my grandmother

might have said

on her last breath

Suppose she might have said,

“I love you”

She did when she took us for

A walk on a cold winter day.

Suppose she might have said,

“I care for you”

She did when she rocked us on her front porch.

Suppose she might have said,

“You’re a good child”

She did when she made home jelly or pies.

Or grandmother might have said,

“Don.t cry”

She did every time we fell down

And she picked us up

Gave us a hug and a kiss.

Grandmother’s last breath

Was not what she said

It was how she said it

With a smile

Fragile doll

Fragile doll

A strong armor on the outside,

but on August 20, 2011

the armor melted away.

My sweet fragile doll,

please handle with care.

I loved and adored her for,

many wonderful years.

I was there for the good times and the sad.

I am the wind beneath her wings.

Holding her head up high.

My fragile doll I embrace her tight

to help through the night.

My voyage here had to end,

as I leave my sweet fragile doll.

We will never depart,

because she is the love of my heart.

As the memory of me lives on,

she shall grow stronger.

Now as I fought the good fight,

farewell, my family and friends,

until we meet once again.

A Mansion so bright, streets of pure gold,

crystal sea, tree of life, eternity.

Romans 5:7

Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man,

though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die.

Thank You, SSgt. Billie G. Smith for the love to lay down your life for the greatest country on earth; Glad you made it home.

Love, Karen Brown 2011

P.S. Thank You, for the words that helped me make it through;

“Karen everything is going to be alright.”

if i could speak

If I could speak

If I could speak

I would tell you on the night

You laid me down to sleep,

I felt the love that you had for me.

So, I smiled to say, I love you mommy!

If I could speak

I would tell you how soft you felt.

So I reached my little hand out

So I could touch your lips with my fingertips.

If I could speak

I would tell you how it’s so peaceful in this place.

So, JESUS let the sun shine on your face.

If I could speak

I would tell you JESUS is here, with His tender loving care.

So, JESUS let the wind blow through your hair.

So, if you listen with all your heart,

You can hear me loud and clear.

Through every smile, touch and tear

I will be there, in your heart.

Along with the love you have for me;

CLOEY.

P.S. Actions speak louder than words.

you all come

YOU ALL COME

WHEN I WAS A KID AND WE CAME TO VISIT,

DANNY WOULD SAY

“YOU ALL COME ON IN.”

WHEN WE GOT READY TO GO HOME,

DANNY WOULD SAY

“YOU ALL COME BACK AGAIN.”

WHEN HE BECAME SICK I WOULD SEE HIM NOW AND THEN.

IF THERE WAS A DINNER FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS,

WITH A BIG HUG AND A SMILE HE WOULD SAY,

“YOU ALL IS WELCOME, YOU ALL COME, I’LL SEE YOU THERE.”

DANNY TOLD ME WHERE HE LIVED ONE DAY

“YOU ALL COME VISIT.” IS WHAT HE WOULD SAY.

I TOOK IT FOR GRANTED THAT I WOULD HAVE TIME,

TO SEE DANNY AND STAY FOR A WHILE.

I FINALLY CAME TO SEE DANNY,

HE WAS SLEEPING PEACEFULLY,

AND WHEN I SAW HIM I COULD HEAR LOUD AND CLEAR

“YOU ALL COME TO THIS PLACE IT HAS STREETS OF GOLD

CRYSTAL SEA TREE OF LIFE AND PAIN FREE,

YOU ALL COME BRING A FRIEND NOT JUST TO VISIT NOT FOR A WHILE

WHOEVER COMES WILL BE GOD’S CHILD.”

SO AS I HEARD, “YOU ALL COME.” IN MY HEART, I SAW DANNY’S SMILE.

I WON’T TAKE FOR GRANTED, I KNOW WHERE DANNY LIVES,

THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO GET THERE

AND ONE WAY TO ENTER IN.

I WILL SEE DANNY SOMEDAY,

IT WON’T BE A VISIT OR FOR A WHILE, BUT IT WILL BE AS GOD’S CHILD.

THERE WILL BE PLENTY OF ROOM FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

EVERYONE’S WELCOME,

“YOU ALL COME, YOU ALL COME IN.”

DANNY IS WAITING AS GOD’S CHILD WITH A FRIEND AND A SMILE.

it's ok to cry

Posted by [email protected] on September 16, 2011 at 12:00 AM Comments comments (0)

It’s ok to cry

When you cried on the day he died,

I wiped away the tears from your eyes and turned them into prayers.

When you cried that he left you all alone,

I heard your tears and I turned them into love and I put them in my heart.

And when you cry deep inside,

I could see your tears FILLED WITH SORROW AND DESPAIR.

So, I turned them into joy and put them in my care.

AND WHEN YOU CRIED ALL NIGHT “I LOVED HIM WITH ALL MY MIGHT.”

I took your tears and turned them into peace

And sent them back to you to help you make it through.

So, now you know that it is ok to cry,

That’s how you know what you feel inside.

Revelation 21:4 “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no pain for the former things have passed away.”

WARRIOR, WARRIOR

Warrior Warrior

Warrior, Warrior,

Where did you go?

I went to heaven where the streets are pure gold.

Warrior, Warrior

What is it like?

There is no crying and no tears. There is love joy and peace.

Warrior, warrior

What do you see?

God’s glory shining all around me.

There is no darkness,

There is no night,

Just God’s glorious light.

Warrior, Warrior

Are you alone?

No Jesus is here everywhere.

I’m face to face.

He is amazing grace.

Warrior, Warrior

What does Jesus say?

His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

I was a warrior on earth now I am one here in heaven; I’m standing on His side.

Warrior, Warrior

Now I can let you go!

Child, Child

Only for a while.
